In a world marked by division and hostility, fostering dialogue and unity among diverse communities is of paramount importance. "Music for Dialogue" is an innovative social entity founded in 2016 by Aviad Mitar, Amnon Herzig, and Dr. Ori Leshman. Our mission is to harness the power of music to bridge divides, reduce conflicts, and nurture a sense of belonging in a society where differing cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives coexist.

Our Approach

Through our "promoting Dialogue through Music" venture we have developed a range of programs designed to provide individuals and groups from all walks of life with the insights and tools needed to connect, support one another, and actively collaborate. These programs are accessible to everyone, with no need for any musical background. Leveraging the universal language of music, we enable people to strengthen connections, express emotions, and bridge gaps between cultures, sectors, and age groups.

The Unique Method

At the heart of our approach lies an innovative method that merges the unique qualities of music with verbal and non-verbal communication into a kind of new language. Our programs facilitate personal exposure, deep listening, empathy, and active collaboration in joint projects and initiatives. Through theoretical instruction and practical experiences involving shared music, songs, and personal stories related to them, we utilize music as a catalyst for storytelling, mutual understanding, and working together toward common goals.

To complement our programs, we offer a suite of online tools, enhancing the accessibility of our programs, and allowing participants to engage and connect conveniently through the digital realm.

Academic Activity

Our academic endeavors encompass multidisciplinary research in education, psychology, data mining, brain research, and consciousness research. We offer academic courses for both undergraduate and graduate students. This dynamic activity takes place at Reichman and Tel Aviv Universities.

Social-Educational Programs: "Connecting Through Our Songs"

These programs are designed for teaching staff and therapists, who, in turn, work with elementary and high school students. We also focus on students in at-risk situations and those on the autistic continuum. The "Talking Through Our Songs" programs offer educators, therapists, and social workers on-the-job training, equipping them with innovative tools to strengthen interpersonal relationships among children and youth.

We also offer tailor-made programs for groups of academics, judges, and other professionals.

International Collaboration

In collaboration with Synergos, an esteemed international organization comprising leading philanthropists from around the world, we established the Global Dialogue Community. The primary aim is to raise awareness and promote dialogue initiatives and processes worldwide. Within this framework, we've recently launched a Global Dialogue Network website that will serve as a database and network of leading organizations worldwide dedicated to promoting dialogue locally as well as on a global scale.
